Corrections, disputes, and removals

ATX Vet Index is an independent directory of veterinarian businesses in Central Texas, built from publicly available information and public Google reviews. Every listing receives a score calculated by one published rubric applied consistently across all businesses. Being listed here is free, and payment has no effect on scores or rankings. This page explains how to update factual details about your business, challenge data that you believe is wrong, or request removal from the directory. Corrections to your listing

Factual fields on your listing (business name, address, phone number, website, opening hours, and services offered) can be corrected. To fix an error, provide the correct value and something we can check it against, such as your business website or your Google Business Profile. Once applied, the correction stays in place through future data refreshes and does not need to be resubmitted.

Disputing your score

Scores are never hand-edited, so a dispute means you believe the input data is incorrect. Examples include a profile that has been matched to the wrong business, reviews credited to you that are not yours, or a summary that misrepresents what reviewers actually wrote. When you file a dispute, we re-examine the sources, regenerate your listing, and send you the result. A dispute is a claim about the data itself, not a request for a higher number.

Removal from the index

Listings are removed if the business is permanently closed, appears as a duplicate, or falls outside the scope of this directory. Our monthly re-verification also identifies and removes closed businesses automatically. If your listing is accurate and in scope, a removal request may be declined, and you will receive a clear reason why.

How quickly we respond

Every request is acknowledged within 5 business days. Confirmed removals are completed within 7 days. Declined requests come with an explanation of the reason.
