Ten years of loyalty and trust define the experience here. From the moment a dog walks in, staff greet with water and kindness; appointments feel unhurried, questions get thorough answers, and vets explain what they find without overselling. Recent arrivals note the welcome packet and first visit free; one family from North Carolina found their vet family on arrival. The practice spans emergency care, wellness, dental work, surgery, and ultrasound. Named vets like Dr. Davies, Dr. Garza, and Dr. Tori Tran appear repeatedly across months of reviews. Staff photograph large dogs, call after treatment, and adjust care plans to match what an owner wants to spend-never pressure tactics. Families with anxious pets, bullies, and goldendoodles alike report the same calm, attentive tone.

Specific strengths include dental work, exotic pet care (rabbit, crested gecko experience noted), and weekend emergency response for acute cases. Patients travel from Georgetown and elsewhere to see Dr. Cassens.

Reviewers consistently describe feeling welcomed as family, with staff and vets who take time to explain care options without rushing. Multiple customers span 8 to 20 years of loyalty, praising Dr. Hensley, Dr. King, and staff member Ashley O. for compassion during routine visits, emergencies, and end-of-life care. One recent complaint raises concern about new ownership limiting direct communication with the vet and canceling appointments to avoid feedback, which contrasts sharply with the clinic's historic reputation for openness. The clinic earns praise for easy appointment access, clean facilities, and reasonable pricing advice; many customers mention the Thrive pet insurance partnership as a financial help. Pets reportedly feel at home during visits. A small percentage of newer reviews suggest internal changes may be affecting the experience some long-term customers had come to expect.
Dr. Myers and her team consistently go above and beyond, from fitting in same-day sick visits to staying late for critical cases.
