What recent reviews say

Spicewood Springs wins trust with fast emergency access and minimally invasive surgery, especially laparoscopic procedures. Reviewers praise Dr. Bates, Dr. Tinanoff, and Dr. Goldenberg by name for swift diagnosis and compassionate care, with staff responsive via app and phone.

Recent reviews still flag pricing opacity: medication markups and undisclosed service charges at checkout frustrate some owners. Most report transparent estimates after asking, though a few felt blindsided by final bills. The clinic shines with senior pets and urgent cases but occasionally stumbles when standard tests don't immediately solve the problem.

Five years of trust and a 35-minute drive: Dr. Rob and his team earn fierce loyalty through patience, honest diagnosis, and genuine care. They take time with anxious pets, explain options without pressure, and remain calm through crises, from foreign body emergencies to end-of-life goodbyes. Reviewers consistently note staff remember their pets' names, even after moves, and the clinic's willingness to try conservative treatment before expensive surgery. The one recent friction was a refusal to sell prescription diet food to a visiting customer, though the clinic's policy requires an existing prescription relationship. Their vets (Dr. Rob, Dr. Hardy, Dr. T) handle dentistry, oral surgery, allergy testing, and routine care with equal thoroughness. One cat owner drove 35 minutes for five years of dental cleanings, seeing teeth stabilise under their care. Another praised how they navigated a cancer scare with emotional support and timely email updates during a family vacation.
