Getting a pet vaccinated here involves scanning a QR code, being texted when it's your turn, and paying the quoted price with no surprises. Reviewers consistently describe staff as patient and gentle, the facility as clean and organized, and the whole visit as fast enough to fit around a busy day or a tight budget. Beyond vaccinations, the place offers nail trims, grooming, and self-service pet wash areas. Staff help disabled visitors carry carriers, keep mats down so dogs' paws don't burn on hot concrete, and calm animals that arrive frightened. Prices for these add-ons stay fair, and many reviewers say they return year after year.

Modern Animal South Lamar

4.8(198)✓ Google-verified

Modern Animal South Lamar earns trust through unhurried, clear communication and genuine attention to nervous animals. Reviewers consistently praise named vets Dr. Mo, Dr. Reeves, and Dr. Weaver for explaining care step-by-step without pushing extra services, and for calming even the most skittish pets. Staff follow up after procedures and remember regulars by name. One sharp complaint from a month ago flagged refusal to see an uninsured pet with a raw skin wound in apparent distress. Recent reviews (past two weeks) show no recurrence of access concerns, focusing instead on membership affordability, the app's ease of use, and dedicated care pathways like a back entrance for anxious cats.

Long-term clients and first-time walk-ins report the same experience: vets and staff who listen without rushing, answer questions thoroughly, and treat each pet as an individual rather than a line item. Dr. Jessica Morrissey, Dr. Rivera, and Dr. Rudnick are named repeatedly for patience and knowledge. The clinic offers dental, surgery, vaccinations, boarding, daycare, grooming, and emergency care; they specialize in international health certificates and handle anxious pets well. Recent reviews are entirely four or five star.
