Staff treat pet owners and animals with genuine care, remember long-term patients, and stay calm during stressful emergencies. Vets named by reviewers-Dr. Long, Dr. Underwood, Dr. Nichols, and techs like Rebecca, Hayley, Ashley, Nicole, and Kimberly-are known for listening, avoiding unnecessary procedures, and making accommodations for difficult or urgent cases without pushing upsells. Georgetown Veterinary Hospital handles general practice, urgent care, exotic birds, and specialty referrals, partnering with imaging centers like Sage in Round Rock. They've served Georgetown since 2005 and stand out for seeing patients same-day or next-day when needed, working around sedation windows to minimize trauma for anxious pets.

Reviewers consistently describe a straightforward, animal-loving vet practice where Dr. Tarlton and his team prioritise caring relationships over profits. Many have been clients for over a decade, praising the lack of unnecessary procedures, fair pricing, and a welcoming office where staff visibly care about each pet. Dr. Tarlton (now joined by his veterinarian son) runs a simple, no-frills operation that keeps costs low while delivering fast, experienced diagnosis. Some reviewers note he formulates his own prescription mixtures on-site. One recent complaint regarding end-of-life care availability signals something worth planning for if that service matters to you.
