Wells Branch keeps prices low enough that families can afford serious care. One puppy owner credited them with saving their pet's life after parvo diagnosis, because the clinic's costs were a fraction of emergency-room fees and they sent the owner home with supplies to continue treatment. Several long-term clients praise Dr. Wadhwani's clinical eye and gentleness with elderly or end-of-life pets.
Recent visits expose friction: some reviewers describe hour-plus waits, especially for cats and anxious animals, and staff who dismiss concerns about pet anxiety as unusual. Others report being quoted low prices on the phone but charged substantially more, or told they need add-ons they didn't request. Wait times and upsell tactics divide opinion sharply, and the clinic's professionalism splits between reviewers who find staff warm and those who experience dismissiveness.
Dr. Wadhwani delivers solid, affordable care to dogs and cats over decades of practice, with staff praised for warmth and efficiency. Recent complaints centre on unavailable bird services and one negative interaction regarding communication style and treatment recommendations.
Dr. Sunbury and Dr. Taylor earn trust from owners who return for decades. Reviewers consistently praise caring, unhurried exams where vets explain findings and front office staff ask smart questions to prevent wasteful prescriptions and catch medical needs the owner missed. One recent complaint raises concern about a missed feline dental problem. The clinic handles routine care, surgery (C-sections, eye correction), and geriatric cases with the same attentiveness. Owners report feeling welcomed rather than upsold. Staff know pet and owner names before you speak and stay in touch post-surgery with updates. A 30-year client and an 18-year relationship show the draw here is consistency and genuine investment in each animal's outcome.
Review evidence for AusTexVet is limited. The business operates as a mobile and general practice clinic in the Greater Austin Area with a stated 30+ years of combined veterinary experience and specializes in small animal wellness, surgery, and dentistry.
